So! An update from Find Vienna is well overdue. As our over packed, fifteen passenger van speeds across the state borderlines, we barrel towards Chicago, for our first ever Chicago tour date. Amazingly enough, being on the road this past week has given us the opportunity to bond as a band and grow even closer to one another without getting in drunken fights over the van stereo system and who will need to double up in the Motel bed for the night. Among many headlining tour dates, last week we were fortunate enough to play a few sold out dates with Walk The Moon and Vacationer.  Meeting those bands was a very motivating experience for us; one we will never forget.

For anyone who may stop in and see about us from time to time, one may have noticed that we haven’t been playing as many dates over the last month and a half and there’s a good reason for that.  The band is proud to share with you that the four of us have spent the better part of May and June in the studio working on new material, trying to expand our musical boundaries to reach the constantly evolving bar that has been set for us. And with all of the hard work, we have found ourselves listening back to what we believe may be our are strongest, most honest batch of tunes to date in the Find Vienna lifeline. Although these new tunes are recorded, mixed, and ready to be released into the wild, we will be optimistically postponing the release date, saving them for some opportunities currently in development behind the scenes. You may have heard a sneak peak of one of these new songs “I Know How To Love Someone,” on WXPN or Radio 104.5, but for further interest in our newer songs, we will be playing most of them in our live set.

Recently we posted the schedule for all of our upcoming dates. If we don’t make it to your city this time around, no need to worry. We are excited to say that we have a very promising tour coming up in the fall! As if in a dream, tomorrow we have the privilege of playing Summerfest in Milwaukee with The Walkmen and Mutemath. Words cannot describe how ecstatic we are to play with some of our musical idols.  Also, later this July we will play Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati and the Stereo Terra Music Festival in Michigan. As if that weren’t enough of a blessing, we will be visiting Dewey Beach, Delaware to guest appear on a show with Civil Twilight and A Silent Film. All four of us feel overly fortunate to play a packed summer of dates with awesome bands.  None of us can wait to show everyone how hard we have worked to get to this point and through all of the adversity, hardship, and short comings we have overcame with nothing except a smile on our faces.

For our hometown Philly fans (We didn’t forget about you!) we have planned an amazing show at the World Café Live again on July 20^th. This is our first headline show in Philly since our EP release! Whether you know us from “In your favorite colors”, the “In Flight EP” or are just curious, we will cover all of the bases of our career with new songs included. Our good friends Kingsfoil will help us kick of this celebration, meaning to make this an unforgettable night.

With all that being said, the band is slowly building a team that is hopefully going to propel us to the next level and beyond the stars in the very near future. We couldn’t be more excited for the coming months and we can’t wait to share it with the most important asset to our team, the fans. Thank you for being patient and supportive throughout our journey, because none of this would be possible without you. Everyone has been nothing short of incredible to us and Find Vienna is truly grateful for that. But for now, stay tuned. Everyone that is in this journey is in for a wild ride.
